I moved to the ocean when I left the corporate world. I feel like I already have this one down. I’m not forced to wear the same outfit over and over, and I still repeatedly reach for lightweight, heavenly soft, thrifted, drawstring joggers ($3) , a 10+ year old t-shirt (zero dollars) fuzzy socks ($12), and a well-broken in hoodie that comes off at approximately 10am. Possibly free…I’ve borrowed a drawer full. (A moment to honor the ex-boyfriends of the world…) And, when I leave the house, $480 sunglasses. Ah, THERE it is…the bulk of my wardrobe budget. But, if I have to wear them forever, the sunglasses are now a bargain. I suddenly have an overwhelming urge to clean out 90% of my nice, presentable clothes. One of the best feelings is no longer having to think about my OOTD until I get a writing prompt to do so.
Such a good read this morning. Inspiring and a feel good read. I can’t wait to donate my corporate wear and trade them in for comfy lounging gear. Congratulations on your change. You can never go wrong with the ocean.
